Description

"suzunaan" is a drawing of Kosuzu reading "M dies of M" by Agatha Chris Q in a room full of bookshelves, with a light shining from the top. Akyuu can be seen behind another layer of bookshelves, mostly obscured. The shelves on the front and back are blurred, but the titles are as follows:

Front (from left to right)

Back (there are 3 books with something written on them)

Background

As a "sequel" to melancholy, this was another quick piece made to fill the October-November gap, continuing the trend of drawing protagonists of official literature works.

This was also drawn approximately a week before my midterm exams, which inspired me to quickly draw and release this drawing before I had to focus on studying.

Techniques

I used paint.NET to write the text using fonts I downloaded from Google Fonts, which ended up looking a bit too harsh and perfectly smooth. I also wanted to focus on Kosuzu, which led me to blur the foreground and background, making her stand out the most, as well as the light from above. The rendering was mainly done with a generic brush at low opacity, so I used the smudge brush a lot to make some of the shadow edges look smoother.
