Description

"reimu night" is a pixel art of Reimu looking towards the right against a moonlit night background. The shrine can be seen the the left side, with the moon on the top right corner.

A colored outline is used for Reimu, the background being lineless.

Background

Once I was finished with my first ever digital drawing experience with Koishi, I tried another pixel art drawing, which, for the first time ever (and for the last time ever as of writing the article), features no-one other than the protagonist of the series, Reimu Hakurei. I chose Reimu because she's the counterpart to Marisa, pairing this drawing with marisa night. Despite this, I intentionally chose to go for a completely different look, this one featuring cool colors and an outline-rich style, to make the two distinct. This one also uses the default Pixilart palette, if I'm not mistaken.

The name of this piece was given afterwards, "reimu night" being chosen because the drawing is Reimu in a night environment. marisa night is meant to serve as a companion piece to this one.

Techniques

Outlines were drawn according to the internal fill color it bordered, making it look more fitting.
