Description

"reach" is a drawing of Koishi against a light blue background, reaching with one hand at the viewer.

The drawing is cel-shaded with solid colors, with thick black outlines.

Background

After drawing a slew of lineless art, I decided I wanted to go for something with outlines for once, leading me to draw this drawing. I also wanted to mess with perspective and foreshortening, hence the pose. The way her skirt and hair moves is an attempt to make her look dynamic. However, I still didn't know how to properly draw yet, so I just took a photo of my own hand and traced it for the left hand.

Techniques

A solid black outline and cel-shading was used to give a more cartoonish feel. Internal outlines were also used to depict creases and such. Foreshortening was used on the left hand, while the looser parts like hair and cloth were offset in a way that suggests motion.
