Description

"portrait" is a pixel art drawing, depicting Koishi above the neck.

Most of the image has a uniform width outline with varying color. Simple cel-shading has been used for the fill.

Background

"portrait" is a pixel art I made to use as a small "sticker." Unlike my previous pixel arts, you can see internal outlines on the face and in the hair. The reason for that is that this is when I attempted to use what I learned from drawing in pixel art. Same goes for the coloring, as you can see the shading on her ribbon and hair are done in a more "realistic" style than my previous artworks, as well as being pretty high resolution. A version without outlines also exist, resembling my typical style more.

The name of this piece was given afterwards, "portrait" being chosen because the drawing is somewhat of a portrait of Koishi, without a lot of extra details.

Techniques

This was the first pixel art showcased here to use outlines in this manner. The drawing itself was done more in a brush-like manner than typical pixel art as well.
