Description

"green" is a drawing of Renko and Maribel in Satellite TORIFUNE from Trojan Green Asteroid. The background is filled with plant life, and there is also a torii gate near the horizon. Renko is lit and facing the camera, while Maribel is in darkness, facing away from the camera, and more obscured by the foreground objects.

Background

I just wanted to draw some more Renko, but I was also planning on remaking jungle soon, which this served as a sort of prototype for (hence, the similar objects and prop placement). I also liked Renko's design from Trojan Green Asteroid, which further motivated me to draw them in this type of environment.

Techniques

The characters are drawn with a somewhat thick, solid color outline, while the rest of the drawing is painted using only fill colors. This is to make the characters stand out more, while saving time on the background. I also considered adding blur to the background, but decided against it due to it clashing with the artstyle.
